His interest and experience in Myopia Control extends more than 10 years, managing young patients in practice and presenting on this subject internationally. Co-founding of MyopiaCare that provides in-clinic tools to assist in the adoption of Myopia Control. MyopiaCare offers a Predictive Risk Calculator and scientific resource for the public, profession and healthcare institutions/manufacturers.
Nick is an Optometric Consultant at the ‘Midland Eye’ in Solihull, UK. This is a private hospital facility with 6 Ophthalmologists and 4 Optometrists.
Nick is recognised by many as an early adopter of innovative technologies. His practice has developed specialist Clinics specialising in Medical Contact Lenses and Dry Eye. Using world leading technologies to deliver superior vision and ocular health benefits to patients. Offering both a practical and a scientific basis to new technologies. Acting as a Consultant to several International Contact Lens Companies and Spectacle Lens Companies, assisting in clinical trails, product development and launch. In recent years this has included, Therapeutic Contact Lenses, Myopia Control Clinics, Keratoconus Corneal Cross Linking & Specialist Contact Lens Fitting.
Special interest including aberration control with Contact lenses and Refractive Surgery. Including a BCLA presentation in 2010 regarding spherical aberration control in contact lens designs and the impact on vision quality. Nick is a graduate and Honorary lecturer at the University of Cardiff Department of Optometry in Wales, UK. He is founder of educational events company I-CET and SkiCPD, providing internationally accredited courses for ECPs and Key Opinion Leaders.
In 2016 co-founding MyopiaCare to assist the adoption of Myopia Control. Supporting patients, and professionals within an International Network of Accredited Specialist across 4 continent and 9 different languages.
